Do reps need to use their personal phones?
No. Reps can use their personal devices, iOS or Android, but they communicate through Relay using the dealership's dedicated phone numbers. Customers never see the rep's personal number. The rep's personal calls and texts stay completely separate.
What happens to conversation history when a rep leaves?
Every conversation belongs to the dealership, not the individual rep. When a rep leaves, their full conversation history stays in Relay. The manager can reassign ongoing conversations to another rep without losing any context. The customer never has to start over.
Can customers tell they're texting a dealership number vs. a personal number?
Customers see a standard North American phone number, it looks like any other mobile number. There's nothing to indicate it's a business line unless the rep or dealership includes that in their messaging. The experience is natural for the customer.
Does Relay provide the phone numbers, or do we bring our own?
